5 Signs the Holy Spirit Is Working in Your Life

You’re not imagining it when your conscience sharpens and your heart aches to make things right. That gentle conviction that says, “You’re made for more than this,” is very different from the cruel inner voice that calls you hopeless. The Holy Spirit doesn’t crush you; He redirects you. As old habits lose their shine and begin to feel empty, a new desire quietly rises—a longing for peace, for honesty, for a life that actually aligns with what you believe deep down.

You may find yourself praying small, awkward prayers, feeling tears during worship, or sensing unexpected compassion for people you used to judge. You forgive a little faster. You walk away from drama a little sooner. You serve without needing applause. None of this means you’ve “arrived.” It means God is at work underground, growing something you can’t fully see yet. If you’re noticing even one of these shifts, don’t dismiss it. Lean in and simply say, “Keep going, Lord—I’m listening.”
