Petticoat Junction offered an inviting escape, but making that world required constant adjustment. Different performers played Billie Jo and Bobbie Jo Bradley, while the Hooterville Cannonball depended on a mixture of railroad footage and production stand-ins. Sharon Tate was considered for Billie Jo, offering a glimpse of the series that might have been.
